Brooke Katz

Background and Education

Brooke practices primarily in trademark law, with additional experience in civil litigation and transactional matters. Her practice focuses on helping individuals and businesses protect, enforce, and strategically leverage their intellectual property, while also assisting clients with related commercial disputes and agreements.

Brooke earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2025, where she also obtained a Certificate in Intellectual Property and Technology Law.

While in law school, she worked extensively in trademark prosecution under a limited license granted by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, practicing directly before the USPTO in both trademark and patent matters. That hands-on experience allows Brooke to guide clients through the trademark process with practical insight and efficiency, from clearance and prosecution through enforcement and maintenance.

Before law school, Brooke lived in Arizona for six years and completed both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees at Arizona State University. Her academic background is pre-medical, and she brings a strong foundation in science and technology to her legal practice. Prior to entering law, Brooke worked as an emergency room scribe in the Valley, an experience that sharpened her ability to work under pressure, manage complex information, and communicate clearly with diverse professionals.

Brooke is licensed to practice law in California and is authorized by the USPTO to represent clients nationwide in trademark matters. She is currently sitting for the Arizona Bar Examination and is excited to continue building her practice in Arizona, where she has deep personal and professional roots.

Outside of the office, Brooke is a self-described science and technology enthusiast who enjoys spending time with her family and her dog. She is thrilled to be back in Arizona after law school and looks forward to serving clients throughout the state and beyond.
